Security Architecture

How we protect your confidential records and files

Security is the foundation of allpdf4tools. Unlike conventional cloud converters that upload your confidential files to remote servers, our platform uses a decentralized, browser-first architecture.

1. Zero Server Upload Architecture

Every transformation—whether merging contracts, compressing invoices, or locking PDFs with passwords—takes place on your own hardware via client-side libraries (like pdf-lib and PDF.js). Your data does not travel over external backend conversion pipelines, eliminating server-side breach risks entirely.

2. HTTPS End-to-End Encryption

Our website is served strictly through Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). This prevents man-in-the-middle attacks, eavesdropping, or tampering when loading code modules and UI assets.

3. In-Memory Ephemeral Execution

Files opened in our web tools reside exclusively in volatile browser RAM. Closing the browser tab or hitting refresh instantly destroys the working buffer. No temporary hard drive caches or persistent server database traces are ever generated.

4. Client-Side Cryptography

When you use our Protect PDF tool, password hashing and document encryption routines are calculated within your device's browser sandbox before writing the final binary. Your passwords never pass across any network connection.
